Discovery Cove

Discovery Cove, the Pearsall Public Library Children’s Center, is where children of all ages can dive into adventure and discovery. The library has many treasures to use at the library or to take home: books, magazines, and DVDs.

Early Literacy Station

The children’s section is also home to a computerized pre-school center — the Early Literacy Station™ (ELS).

The ELS is designed specifically for our youngest patrons ages 2 to 8 and features over 4,000 localized learning activities.

The fun, interactive and engaging content spans all 7 curricular areas:

  • Art and music
  • Math
  • Science and nature
  • Social studies and geography
  • Reading
  • Reference
  • Writing and computer skills

The Early Literacy Station™ from AWE Learning creates an easy-to-use, single learning solution for young learners of all ages to build their literacy skills.

Visiting the Discovery Cove

There are several tables and seating options for research and study, and lots of open floor space for kids to stretch out and delve into reading. The entire section can be used for story times and craft programs, and can be reserved by groups when available.

Please call the Library at 830-334-2496 to schedule a reading for your group.
